CORSICA & SARDINIA

Corsica and Sardinia

Corsica and Sardinia offer unrivalled natural beauty, pale sandy beaches, intriguing medieval ports and sophisticated resorts for on-shore dining and shopping expeditions.

11 Day Itinerary

DAY 1

Fly by private jet to Nice and transfer to Monaco by helicopter to join your yacht in Monaco Harbour. Enjoy welcome drinks and lunch on board. Spend the afternoon people-watching in Monaco Harbour or shopping in the boutiques. For dinner either dine on board or at one of the numerous restaurants of Monaco, and maybe visit the Casino before retiring for the night.

DAY 2

After a hearty breakfast, your yacht will depart for Corsica. The journey will take several hours but dolphins should hopefully accompany you enroute. Drop anchor in the afternoon at Saleccia, one of Corsica's best beaches. White sand, clear water, and shady pines make this a paradise. Anchor overnight just off the beach.

DAY 3

After breakfast on deck, cruise towards Calvi, dropping anchor just off the peninsular of Revellata where conditions are perfect for water sports. Enjoy lunch on board and in the afternoon take the opportunity to explore Calvi with its Medieval Citadel, narrow streets and buzzing shopping. Dinner perhaps at La Villa – Corsica's top hotel.

DAY 4

Cruise further south to the Golfe de Girolata where you will find the nature reserve of Scandola. Lunch is served aboard whilst at anchor in the bay. In the afternoon, take the tender to visit the amazing graphite calanques (rocky inlets), which have eroded into bizarre shapes. Dine this evening at Restaurant Le Bel'Ombre, renowned for its gastronomic seafood delights.

DAY 5

This morning the yacht will head further southwards towards Ajaccio, hugging the coastline on its way. The Gulf of Porto is fantastic for water sports. Listed in the UNESCO world heritage sites, it is soon to be included in Corsica's National Park. Overnight in Ajaccio, the birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte.

DAY 6

This morning head south to Bonifacio, passing some of the most dramatic coastline in Corsica on the way. The town is perched high up on the cliffs and has a maze of labyrinthine streets. Famous for its fish soup and views from the citadel on top of the cliffs, Bonifacio will be your resting place for the evening.

DAY 7

In the morning take a slow relaxing cruise round the most southerly tip of Corsica, passing the beautiful islands of Levazzi and Calvallo. Drop anchor at the magical Maddalena Archipelago, an extraordinary group of islands. The turquoise and blue waters, bordered by the whitest of beaches, are arguably the most beautiful in Europe. In the late afternoon cruise to Porto Cervo where you will moor for the night.

DAY 8

Awake in Porto Cervo, originally built by the Aga Khan as a playground for Europe's glitterati. Take time mingling through the pretty streets and restaurants to see and be seen. In the evening take anchor in Porto Rotondo in the bay of the famous Hotel Cala di Volpe. Perhaps dine here this evening.

DAY 9

This morning you will head northwards towards Ajaccio, stopping enroute at the islands once more to enjoy water sports and snorkelling in the crystal clear waters. You will arrive at Ajaccio at sunset.

DAY 10

An early morning start is necessary to complete your final leg of your charter; heading west out of Ajaccio towards the Cote d'Azur. Enjoy the delights of life onboard before spending a final evening in your choice of French Riviera hot spots… St Tropez? Cannes? Monaco?

DAY 11

A morning journey to Antibes to disembark and bid farewell to your crew before you transfer to Nice Airport and your private jet flight home.

Suggested Itineraries: The final choice of route, stop-offs, on-shore dining and cruise length is up to you.
