Popping The Question In Bruges...

The day you ask for your loved one’s hand in marriage is probably one of the biggest days of your life. We are regularly asked for suggestions for suitably romantic destinations for proposals. We recently provided a weekend in Bruges for a client who wanted to pop the all-important question to his girlfriend.

As with all of our holidays, the weekend started in true style and luxury: sipping chilled champagne and relaxing in the comfort of a private jet. Once in Bruges, we arranged for them to stay two nights in the beautiful Hotel de Tuilerieën, overlooking the picturesque Den Dijver canal.

Known as the ‘Venice of the North’, this enchanting medieval city is a puzzle of narrow cobbled streets and intricate waterways making a horse-drawn carriage or a boat the best and most romantic way to explore. Among the many beautiful places to visit in Bruges, Lake Minnewater is one definitely not to miss out. The lake, whose name aptly translates to ‘Lover’s Lake’, offers the most romantic and picturesque setting from which to enjoy stunning panoramic views of the city.

We also arranged dinner reservations, a chocolate factory visit and a private beer tasting for our clients.
